8 REASONS WHY DR NALOWA LYONGA SHOULD STEP DOWN AS UB VICED CHANCELLOR

Here are the stake why DR NALOWA LYONGA must stepdown as UB viced chancellor and Mayor Ekema step down as mayor
1.She  did not stop  the police brutality and the rating and  looting in students hostels

2.Institute the payment of 10000 by all students before you can do online registration

3. She must step down as a sign of peace. Both the mayor and Nalova are CPDM members who received Paul Biya during his last visit to Buea.

4.  Mr. Mayor and lyMrs lyonga, do not  dialogue the Anglophone problems. The Common Law Lawyers are the leaders and they must call for a dialogue which they refused.
5. Buea brutalised lawyers within the last two weeks and the same and Nalowa  did not condemn it. Police dragged and beat lawyers and Mayor Ekema was silent too. He is a hypocrite. That is only a political ploy.
6. He is acting under pressure from Yaounde to prevent escalation. In the first place, he should warn the soldiers and the police, and stop calling people to the streets because they have suffered enough of intimidation, harassment and provocations by the police and soldiers.
7. People should stay indoors. They want the people to riot while expressing their grievances so that the soldiers could open fire or tear gas them.
8. The PM attempted holding a meeting in Bamenda, the main opposition stronghold, but it failed. Mayor Ekema is even too small to do that with the SWELA chiefs who did not even acknowledged the Anglophone problem. 8. Students should travel back to their families. They have been humiliated enough. Elections are at the corner and the CPDM is facing serious defeat already given the recent happenings. 2. Cuba’s revolutionary leader, Fidel Castro dies at 90

Fidel Castro, Cuba’s former president and leader of the Communist revolution, has died aged 90.CNN reports that a message from Cuba’s presidency said that Castro died at 10:29pm (local time) on November 25.It stated that his remains will be cremated on Saturday, November 2016.The revolutionary icon, one of the world’s best-known and most controversial leaders, survived countless US assassination attempts and premature obituaries, died after suffering a long battle with illness.Fidel Castro ruled Cuba as a one-party state for almost half a century before handing over the powers to his brother Raul (now 85 years old), in 2008.Castro’s guerrilla army, over 50 years ago, replaced Fulgencio Batista’s corrupt dictatorship with communist rule that challenged the US and turned the island into a cold-war crucible.
According to the UK Guardian, Castro’s “greatest legacy is free healthcare and education, which have given Cuba some of the region’s best human development statistics. But he is also responsible for the central planning blunders and stifling government controls that – along with the U.S. embargo – have strangled the economy, leaving most Cubans scrabbling for decent food and desperate for better living standards”.

PROTESTERS IN BAMENDA MOVING WITH COFFIN TO SHOW THEIR GRIEVE

"We are ready for death. The solution to end these more than 50 years of marginalization is inclusive dialogue and nothing else," one protesters told me.
"We need the president to negotiate with us on a level-playing field. It is now or never," a man standing in a casket shouted. "My middle name is death."
All schools in the English-speaking regions are shut down and thousands are protesting with lawyers and teachers taking the lead.
Since 1961, grievances between English-speaking and French-speaking citizens have never reached a dialogue table. Only two Presidents have ruled the country since then. Most key positions and schools in the country are reserved for French-speaking citizens only.
"You must have a French names like Atanagana or Mvondo to succeed," says Mbain Clemons.
There has been no official statement from the authorities. The strike is reportedly calm but very intense.

'Not my president, not today!' Thousands in U.S take to the streets to protest against Donald Trump (Photos

According to U.S news reports, as much as 5000 pro-Hillary supporters took to the streets across the U.S and the White House on Wednesday night to protest against the election of Billionaire business man Donald Trump as the next president of America.

Some protesters who also marched to Trump Towers, New York, including Lady Gaga on Wednesdaynight, yelled about issues such as immigration and other controversial topics from the Republican party campaign.

"Not my President, not today," many across the White House yelled."It's been really frustrating, because as a nation we thought we had come so far but it seems like we're taking many steps back," another woman at Trump Towers said to CNN. So we want to come together to change that and make sure we keep going forward."In Portland, Pro-Hillary supporters chanted "No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA" While Protesters in D.C., who headed to the Trump International Hotel, shouted "No Trump, no KKK''
While Latinos marched in their thousands to the Los Angeles City Hall Wednesday night and chanted
"I will not live in fear," "Fight back, stand up" and "¡Si se puede!" (Spanish for "It can be done"). People are furious not just at the results of the election, but the rhetoric of Donald Trump," Ahmed Kanna, an organizer for Social Alternative Berkeley, told CNN's Don Lemon.
Some people even gathered at the White house to mourn the election loss of Hillary Clinton as any feared their friends and loved ones could be deported once Trump becomes president.

DONALD TRUMP MEETS PRESIDENT OBAMA AT WHITE HOUSE (WATCH)

U.S. President Barack Obama, right, speaks as U.S. President-elect Donald Trump listens during a news conference in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, D.C., U.S., on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016. Obama on Thursday met face-to-face with Trump, who spent years questioning the eligibility of the first black U.S. president and now will succeed him.
U.S. president-elect, Donald Trump has said he “very much looks forward” to seeking counsel from President Barack Obama as he prepares to enter the White House. He made this known when he met with Obama on Thursday in the Oval Office, calling the meeting a “great honor”.
Trump, noting he had never met Obama, calls him a good man and said that they had discussed both “wonderful” things and the “difficult” challenges the country faces. After a nearly 90 minute meeting in the Oval Office, Obama said they discussed organisational issues related to the presidential transition as well as foreign and domestic policy.
“My number one priority in the coming two months is to try to facilitate a transition that ensures our president-elect is successful,’’ he said.
According to Obama, he feels “encouraged” by his White House conversation with president-elect Donald Trump.
“I have been very encouraged by the interest in president-elect Trump in wanting to work with my team around many of the issues that this great country faces. I believe that it is important for all of us regardless of party and regardless of political preference to now come together to deal with the many challenges we face,’’ Obama said.

Hillary Clinton delivers painful concession speech

Hillary Clinton on Wednesday delivered the most painful and potentially final, big speech of her political career on Wednesday after her stunning defeat to Donald Trump in the presidential race.

Clinton, who had hoped to wake up as the first female president-elect, instead stood before traumatized campaign workers and supporters in New York to deliver her first public reaction to a loss that has sent shockwaves around the world.
"Last night, I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country. I hope that he will be a successful president for all Americans," Clinton said.
Her speech marked a bitter conclusion to a campaign that promised history but instead will be remembered for failing to fully energize Democratic voters and for squandering the party's traditional heartlands in states like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

It also marked the final act on the national stage of the Clinton double act, the political partnership between former President Bill Clinton and the former first lady and secretary of state that had seemed poised for a remarkable comeback, 16 years after they left the White House.

Campaign staffers had spoken throughout Clinton's presidential bid of the extreme pressure many of them felt in facing Trump, whom Clinton argued was temperamentally and intellectually unfit for the presidency and to be in charge of the US nuclear arsenal.
Now she is under pressure to call on a nation, split almost exactly down the middle, to unite behind the next president.

It will not be the first time Clinton has tasted the pain of ending a defeated presidential campaign. In 2008, she folded her primary bid against Barack Obama in Washington and bemoaned her failure to break the "highest and hardest glass ceiling" by becoming the first female president. That was to be her fate again in 2016, though the personal recriminations are likely to be even more intense this time given that Trump is seen by many Democrats as antithetical to American values.

Robby Mook, Clinton's campaign manager, emailed all campaign staffers Wednesday morning inviting them to join Clinton at the speech, campaign aides said. The remarks were billed as the former Democratic nominee's goodbye to staff and as a way for her to lay out a way forward for Democrats and the country. Dozens of Clinton staffers were waiting to get into the event an hour before the start. Many were hugging and some were crying.

"I'm still in shock," said one aide.
Clinton called Trump in the early hours of Wednesday to concede defeat after he shattered her Democratic firewall in the Midwest and swept to victory after the most vitriolic general election in generations.

But she did not appear at her election night party in New York. At the time, her campaign chairman John Podesta explained that the campaign wanted to ensure that every vote in still undeclared states was counted -- though her position already seemed hopeless.
Much of the seating at Clinton's remarks was for staff and aides and the campaign was treating it as a farewell to the people who have spent the better part of two years working on her behalf, an aide said.

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine also was on hand, a campaign aide said. The Virginia senator was not with Clinton Tuesday night.
Trump's campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, said Wednesday that she was with Trump when Clinton's close aide, Huma Abedin, called to say her boss wanted to talk to the president-elect.

"I handed him the phone and they had a maybe one-minute conversation, very gracious, very warm. I heard Mr. Trump's side of it," Conway told CNN's Alisyn Camerota on "New Day. "He commended her for being smart and tough and running a very hard-fought campaign. And I am told Secretary Clinton congratulated Donald Trump on his victory, and conceded to him," Conway said
