Why Okalia Bilai Escaped The office During the visit of the U.N to UB campus

Why Okalia Bilai Escaped. U.N inspectors in the University of Buea campus at 9am meet amphi 250 filled with students in an interacting lesson which gave them the impressions that things had come to normal. Most of these students had wigs on. After 15 minutes in the hall these inspectors left and moved around the campus to U block and the Restaurant vicinity. Suddenly one of these inspectors a lady saw a student I.d card fell from one of the students unnoticed and she made a good gesture to pick it up before handing to the student as they were moving behind the students. To their greatest dismay after they had first noticed that in an Anglo Saxon University lectures were going on in French and almost all of the students couldn't express themselves in English they only saw that it was a card showing Institutions Superieur de Police Mutengene. That was when they called the student and asked why he hadn't a Unibu I.d card but a police school I.d and further asked meaning all of you are police students from Mutengene. He reluctantly didn't want to answer. Unfortunately for him another a lady an Anglo was intercepted and was asked to present her school I.d and she never hesitated to present and spoke the truth that they were taken for the purpose to show that all was normal. They left went to the Central Administration to the V.C's office where Nalova had stepped out but met her secretary whom they started bombarded with questions and they finally had to get her on phone who told them that they should go to the governor's office and ask him those questions and why because the availability of the police students in Unibu campus was his master plan. As news spread like wild fire O. Bilai was notified and he was nowhere to be found up to when the inspectors arrived his office and left. That was how it happened. The struggle continues.... God is with us!!!

Life Hacks On DR ARREY BLOG: 5 Vital Clues to Know You Should Become an Entrepreneur

Most people toy with the idea of becoming entrepreneurs at least once in their life. I mean who wouldn’t? Especially after coming across a very successful one. Yeah, I know that feeling. But frankly speaking, entrepreneurship is not as rosy as it seems. So don’t just run into it because your cousin did so, and he seems to be doing well.
Personally I took that leap of faith that made me a die-hard entrepreneur sometime in 2013, and since then I have not looked back. I have had my fair share of challenges, but rather than deter me, they propel me for greater heights. And if given the opportunity again, I will still opt for entrepreneurship over and over again.
What about you? Have you ever toyed with the idea of being your own boss? Have you ever wondered if starting and running a business is your thing?
Don’t look too far. The clues below will help you make that decision. Of course, it is not exhaustive, but don’t hesitate to raise your hands and shout Hallelujah if I make a point that kinda hits close to home.
Let’s walk…
You wanna be Independent
Earlier this month, I visited an old friend of mine in Warri. And even though we have been in touch to an extent, I was really shocked and excited to see how well he was doing for himself. We had a lot of catch-up time, and I just couldn’t resist asking him what prompted him to quit his job when he did.
I mean, I remember when he was working in Enugu. And before I knew what was happening I heard he quit and started his own business. His main reason? Independence.
You see that life where you call the shots on how you spend your day, where you go, what you do, when you work or not, and most especially, how much you earn, it cannot be quantified.
For me, my eureka moment was when I told myself that even if I was selling zobo and puff-puff, I would make much more than I was being offered in the last place I worked. And when I got to that point, there was no stopping me.
Your job doesn’t give you fulfillment
I know what it means to work at a job that doesn’t give fulfillment. I mean you wake up in the morning happy, only to get sad at the thought of going to work.
Yeah, used to happen to me a lot when I was working with an Insurance company in Lagos.
Truth is that everyone wants to be fulfilled. And if your job doesn’t offer you that, it’s time you thought seriously about creating a job that could give you just that. If working at that crazy million dollar idea of yours smells fulfillment to you…that’s a sign right there.
You don’t want to compromise on your life Goals
Sometime in 2009 I wrote down a list of things I hoped to do before I die. One of them was what drove me to go for what became my first swimming experience. Apart from that, I equally wrote a lot of things that had to do with starting and running a couple of businesses.
But I didn’t just write these goals down; I got committed to pursuing them. I knew that a goal I don’t pursue will never get actualized.
If your job is not helping you achieve your life goals and you’re no longer comfortable with that, it is time to consider moving from employee to entrepreneurship. Nothing should matter more than achieving your life goals. That should form the very essence of your daily activities. So look at your job again, is it servicing your life goals?
Recurrent ideas
Don’t quit your regular job because of one idea that just flashed your mind. Ask every successful entrepreneur, it really has to be an idea that keeps coming to you. In my own case, the thoughts kept me awake at night, and gave me daydreams during the day.
So don’t be deaf. Take note of those ideas that keeps coming to you. The more recurrent, the clearer it becomes. These recurrent ideas come with an unusual surge of energy. If that is you, then entrepreneurship is for you.
An idea is the first milestone in building a successful business. Tweet that!
Your passion
Passion fuels inspiration. If your inspiration is fueled by a passion for something outside your regular 9-5 job, then please consider following your passion.
Find something you are passionate about and do it passionately. If you love the social media a lot, Instagram for instance, then let your passion drive you to seek out how to monetize that Instagram account.
But note that passion, not money, should guide your decision to become an entrepreneur. If you are genuinely passionate about providing a solution, then you are surely going to do well as an entrepreneur.
The hallmark of entrepreneurs is their passion for providing solutions other than just the prospect of a better paycheck. (Quote me)
So, what’s your story? Has the thought of starting your own business been giving you sleepless nights? What’s been keeping you from taking that leap of faith, even if it’s a side-hustle? What are you waiting for?

This Documentary Reveals why “whoever’s in the White House” serves the interest of a “cartel of rich people” | WATCH

Former Black Panther chairperson Elaine Brown dismisses the “distinction between this individual president and that individual president” in the USA. For her, they are all “there to protect the interests of the American government as it exists in service to the American corporations. They are the spokespersons for the big rich man who have control of this country.”
Far from being an agent of change, even past president Barack Obama was “the pawn of globalized interests,” according to author Naomi Wolf. “The problem is not left or right. The problem is that whoever’s in the White House has very little room to move.”
Brown and Wolf speak out in the second and final episode of Al Jazeera’s The Big Picture series, The People vs America, which provides a critical look at bothGeorge W Bush and Obama’s presidencies and how they contributed to the growing distrust of established authority in the USA, paving the way for the election of Donald Trump.
American historian Michael Kazin recalls the initial optimism that greeted Obama. “He was eloquent. He was African American. He was an intellectual and professor… He seemed like the harbinger of something really new.”
Brown adds, “It didn’t occur to anyone that one of the reasons that Obama could even get this far was that he had to be totally, totally immersed in and protected by a very big… cartel of rich people.”
As Pulitzer Prize winner Chris Hedges points out though, the warnings were there for anyone who looked. “Obama spent two years, only two years, in the Senate. His voting record, which is the only thing that should have counted, was one corporate giveaway after another.”
Obama’s presidency began with the fallout from the 2008 credit crash. In dealing with this, he turned to established stalwarts linked to Wall Street, such as former US Treasury Secretaries Lawrence Summers and Robert Rubin, rather than independent experts. Similar establishment figures and Wall Street insiders were appointed to investigate the reasons for the financial crisis, leading former Securities and Exchange Commission lawyer, Gary Aguirre, to state, “So any progress against Wall Street is dead on arrival. According to the senate investigations committee, the financial fraud crimes of the crisis cost the US $21 trillion. Nobody from Wall Street goes to prison. Nobody. No-one.”
Voters promised “Change We Can Believe In” instead discovered it was business as usual under Obama. “We saw how it was rigged with the crash,” says sociologist Juliet Schor. “The people who caused the problem got bailed out to the tune of billions and billions and billions, where the ordinary homeowner – no help for them whatsoever. And that fueled so much anger.”
The People vs America also highlights Obama’s crackdown on whistleblowers, such as Edward Snowden, who in 2013, was charged under the Espionage Act for revealing the extent of secret domestic surveillance of US citizens by the US secret services. Obama’s administration would invoke the Espionage Act against a further eight US citizens accused of leaking classified information – three times more than all previous administrations combined.
Obama also signed into law Section 10-21 of the National Defense Authorization Act, enabling the indefinite military detention of US citizens without trial, with no charges against them and no evidence of a crime having been committed. Hedges sued Obama over this, winning the initial case in the Southern District Court of New York before the decision was overturned on appeal, a reversal supported by the Supreme Court.
Wolf says she was in the courtroom in downtown New York and heard “with my own ears” Judge Forest asks Obama’s lawyers, “‘Does this mean that you, the President, can arrest a reporter for interviewing a member of al-Qaeda?’ Right, just interviewing, which is what reporters are supposed to do. The lawyer said, ‘Yes, we can arrest Chris Hedges. We can hold him forever without charge or trial.’”
Like Trump, Obama came to power in response to a will for change, but the critical voices in The People vs America claim both presidents’ actions suggest rather a continuation of a traditional order, decades in the making.
Part 1
Watch part one, which documents how appeals to race and populism are old strategies used by Presidents from Richard Nixon to Bill Clinton.
The election of Donald Trump in November 2016 exposed a deep vein of distrust across the US, where millions have become disillusioned with a political and corporate elite out of touch with the sentiments of ordinary Americans. We explore the construction and mythology of the American Dream and uncover the reality of exclusion and denial. In this two-part series, we chart the history of post-Second World War America to uncover how race has dominated the political landscape and continues to shape American society. We reveal the nexus of political, corporate and institutional interests that created and now curtail a withering middle-class, pushing people into polarised camps, and now furthering disaffection with the traditional ‘establishment’.

ISSA TCHIROMA BAKARY FINALLY APOLOGISED AND ADMITS THERE IS AN ANGLOPHONE PROBLEM

Cameroon’s Minister of Communication who equally doubles as government’s spoke person, Issa Tchiroma Bakary has admitted that there exist an Anglophone problem in Cameroon.
Even though the Minister who is also the chairman of his National Salvation Front, an opposition political party whose agenda rotates behind securing votes for President Paul Biya’s CPDM party did not equivocally agree to the fact that Anglophones have been grossly marginalized in Cameroon, he timidly admitted the existence of an Anglophone problem.Speaking recently in a press conference organized in the nation’s political capital, Yaounde, Issa Tchiroma who first served the regime as Minister of Transport before Biya sent him to the Kodengui maximum security prison apologized for earlier stating that “there isn’t an Anglophone Problem” in Cameroon.
Minister Tchiroma who hails from the Northern region of Cameroon together with some Ministers of the Biya government had earlier commented that the problems and claims of marginalization raised by Cameroonians of the South West and North West Regions is not real, stating that the rest of Cameroon’s eight regions all face the same problems.
While admitting that worries by Anglophones about the non-respect of English as one of the official languages in Cameroon remains genuine, he dismissed claims that English speaking Cameroonians have suffered marginalization since joining La Republic du Cameroon in a UN organized plebiscite. He also to the BBC in africa that government has always willing to dialogue  with the anglophones but anglophone has turned  down dialogue.here is what he said,
“Allow me to let you know one thing; there is a problem of language especially when it comes to translating because we have many documents which are written in one language while the constitution makes it mandatory to have all official documents published in both languages.” He said adding that “Allow me to say that I am sorry I might have been wrong in my assessment of the situation.”

Idara, wife of comic actor, Ime Bishop a.k.a Okon took to Instagram in the early hours of Tuesday, to disclose that the actor was robbed in Warri.
Fortunately, he’s fine.
According to Idara’s post, the robbers are willing to swap the stolen items stolen for cash.
See what she wrote below:
So pathetic that the more we pray for a better Nigeria, the more things become so sour, few minutes ago, I saw a strange number calling and the voice I heard was my hubby’s voice.
I was surprised to see him used a strange number to call. I quote him “Baby pray for me, I’ve just been robbed by (armed men) in Warri, and all my gadgets and money have been taken away from me, threatening to kill me also, I’m stranded and the event I’m supposed to attend here, I can’t make it anymore, no contact to communicate with anyone for direction, except yours”
For the first time I’m feeling this way, how on earth can someone do this to another man, even to the one that God has given to this country and the world as a gift of anti-smile to clear away people’s sadness.
I pray only to God to touch their minds, and as they have said, they will return the phones and other items taken, but only and if money will be paid to them without informing the police, which is not a problem.
I pray for my husband’s safety and that of my family, may God continue to keep and preserve my household, also pray for the safety of all my husband’s colleagues

PRESIDENT JACOB ZUMA FAILED SPEECH LED TO FIGHTING OF PARLIAMENTARIANS IN SOUTH AFEICA

The raucous scenes unfolded on national television as opposition members tried to stop Mr Zuma from addressing the chamber, repeatedly insulting the President and declaring him unfit for office.
In the surrounding streets of Cape Town, police and hundreds of military forces patrolled to guard against protesters who want Mr Zuma to quit.
Security teams eventually were called into the chamber to remove red-clad members of the opposition Economic Freedom Fighters, some of whom threw punches and pounded guards with plastic helmets.
MPs from the Democratic Alliance, the country's biggest opposition group, then walked out in protest.
A politically weakened figure, Mr Zuma has faced calls to resign even from factions of the ruling party.
Some ANC members blame Mr Zuma's scandals for the party's poor performance in local elections in August, in which it lost control of several key metropolitan areas.

Critics condemned an announcement by Mr Zuma's office that 441 members of the military would assist police in maintaining order during the speech and the opening of Parliament.
The military has previously deployed for the event, but the security operation was among the largest in recent years.
Mr Zuma has been under scrutiny for an allegedly improper relationship with the Guptas, a business family of Indian immigrants that has been accused of meddling in top government appointments.
The President has denied wrongdoing.
The President's speech addressed numerous sources of frustration for many South Africans, including the delivery of basic services and an economy that has stalled.
He said he expects 1.3 per cent growth in 2017, after just 0.5 per cent last year.

US ambassador met with H.E Paul Biya yesterday and they talked about The Anglophone problem!

The U.S. Ambassador to Cameroon, H.E. Michael Stephen HOZA, met with President Paul Biya yesterday; February 2. They talked about Rule of law, democracy, human rights respect and inclusive dialogue.
The  ambassador said that the Cameroon-U.S relations will witness a significant growth in Mr. Donald Trump’s administration.
He said efforts will be made to support Cameroon in; the fight against the Boko Haram terrorist group, peace and stability in the Central African Republic, and the promotion of maritime safety and security in the Gulf of Guinea.
“I congratulated him on the success of Cameroonian armed forces in this fight. I also expressed my sincere and deep condolences on the death of General Jacob Kodji and his comrades in the tragic helicopter accident late last month,” he said.
Strategically, it is imperative for Cameroon and the U.S. to examine the possibility of realising a broader bilateral relationship and partnership. This is within the context of the inauguration of President Donald Trump and the confirmation of Rex Tillerson as the new U.S. Secretary of State.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Ambassador emphasized on the shared opinion he held with President Paul BIYA. He said they concurred that: “democracy; rule of law; respect for human rights; inclusive and legitimate consultations across all segments and sectors of the society, are important to secure a bright future for all Cameroonians”.
“I congratulated the President on his continuing efforts to build a transparent and corruption-free business climate that attracts the investment Cameroon needs to create jobs and employ its vibrant youth. The young people are truly the future of this great Nation and it is important to include them in discussions and consultations about the future of the country,” he explained.
The U.S. diplomat equally expatiated on a statement issued by the U.S. State Department on the strike actions led by Anglophone lawyers and teachers in Cameroon
Ambassador Hoza referred to the social tensions in the North West and South West regions as a “domestic debate”. He also reiterated the importance of non-violence and dialogue with all sectors of society for the benefit of all Cameroonians.
